clicker

So we have discussed a lot of things about clickers but I had an idea to ask what people think could be a better alternative to clickers...something that alows you to be able to have this technology that can help aid a teacher, bring students together, help with attendance. What would your ideal clicker be able to do? Maybe if teachers had clickers that did more things??

  1. Clickers, even when they are used correctly tend to generate simplistic questions: Yes or No! My ideal Clicker would be a student that understood the question, answered the question and participated in discussion in a mature and meaningful way. Failing that, pressing their VOTE NOW button would have to do.

  2. I agree Steven...something that allows the students to really elaborate and provide a unique response would be ideal.

  3. My ideal Clicker would use the yes and no many times to get student participating and especially pick up the pace of a slow lesson. I think Clicker is a good way to stimulate students and especially those student who do not usually participate.
